Unit Head

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • This person is responsible on planning, lead, and coordinate all operational activities of the unit to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Encourage innovation through creative problem-solving and continuous improvement in systems, processes, and services. Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals, addressing both short- and long-term objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and maintain strong working relationships across departments. Make sound, data-driven decisions to support operational effectiveness and achieve business goals.
  • Coach and mentor team members, providing regular feedback to support their professional growth and performance development.
  • Drive results by translating business strategies into actionable goals, and establishing systems to monitor workflow and outputs.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• • Oversee the implementation and review of corrective and preventive actions within the unit. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining efficiency and compliance with capacity limits. Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries directed to the unit.
  • The Unit Head is responsible for managing and developing the unit’s human resources by preparing daily work schedules and assigning tasks to ensure smooth operations. They lead the onboarding and in-depth training of new staff and hold regular meetings with team members to align on unit goals, set individual objectives, and monitor performance progress.
  • The role includes overseeing performance evaluations, implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when necessary, and recommending personnel actions such as promotions, lateral transfers, and regularization. Additionally, the Unit Head ensures that job descriptions are periodically reviewed and updated to reflect current responsibilities and organizational needs.
  • Additionally, the Unit Head supports the Laboratory Manager in promoting a culture of excellence—ensuring that quality standards are met, personnel remain competent, and a safe working environment is maintained throughout the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• • A graduate and licensed Medical Technologist with leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
  • With at least 3-5 years experience demonstrating expertise in strategic planning, performance management, quality assurance, and team development.
  • Ability to drive operational results while maintaining a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Amenable to work in Antipolo City.
