Laboratory Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Manager to join our team. This role will support the Hospital Laboratory Management Team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in laboratory processes. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with technical expertise and a passion for developing people and processes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support in managing laboratory operations and strategic initiatives.
    • Develop and implement plans that align with organizational objectives and goals.
    • Foster collaboration and maintain strong professional relationships across teams.
    • Make informed decisions to support laboratory and business outcomes.
    • Mentor, coach, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Ensure effective workflow management and achievement of operational goals.
    • Encourage innovation by enhancing processes, systems, and services.

 

FUNCTIONS:

    • Oversee execution of laboratory tasks and ensure operational efficiency.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure emergency preparedness and effective response protocols.
    • Support performance management, including evaluation and feedback.
    • Assist in policy development and implementation.
    • Administer Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs.
    • Manage accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
    • Promote safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
    • Apply technical and professional expertise to guide laboratory operations.
    • Administer staff training programs to build team competencies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
    • Must be a Licensed/Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years laboratory experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Strong decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • The identified candidate should have an understanding of QA/QC standards, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
    • If selected for the role, the candidate will be assigned to one of our partner hospital clinical laboratory facility located in San Juan, Metro Manila.
