Test Information:
Chlamydia trachomatis is the most prevalent agent of sexually transmitted diseases worldwide (400-500 million cases) and the number of infections is constantly growing, during childbirth, causing conjunctivitis or pneumonia in newborns. The Chlamydia trachomatis IgA ELISA is intended for the qualitative determination of IgA class antibodies against Chlamydia trachomatis in human serum. The qualitative immunoenzymatic determination of specific antibodies is based on the ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay) technique.
