Lipoprotein (a)

Test Information:
Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] testing is used to help evaluate lipid disorders and assess the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Lp(a) is similar to LDL (“bad cholesterol”) but contains an additional protein, apolipoprotein(a), which varies in size due to genetic differences.
